Outdoor fires and BBQs
Today the Derbyshire Fire Service and the Safer Neighbourhood Team have confirmed to CforC that in situations such as those noted below then the number you need to call is 999 and ask for the Fire Service.
If an uncontrolled fire is present in the open countryside, or you see large volumes of smoke please contact the Fire Service on 999, giving as much detail about the location as possible. Never put yourself at any risk by tackling a fire.
If you see someone deliberately setting a fire, using a BBQ, Chinese Lantern or other naked flame outside of designated areas like a campsite, then please call 999 and ask for the Fire Service.
Online reporting of traffic offences
Derbyshire Capture allows you to securely upload dash cam footage or digital footage of road traffic incidents directly to us.
Upon submission of your footage, you will receive an email outlining the possible outcomes of your submission. A Roads Policing officer will then review your footage and contact you if any criminal proceedings are to be undertaken on the back of your submission or if any further information is required from you to ensure that a thorough investigation, if necessary.
